Overview

The Department of Anatomy teaches the structure of the human body, from the cells and tissues seen under the microscope to the organs and systems of the whole body. Anatomy is taught in the integrated, organ-system curriculum of the first two years of MBBS, alongside physiology and biochemistry, so that structure is always learned together with function.

The department also teaches anatomy to students of the allied health programmes.
