Overview
The Department of Community Medicine teaches the health of populations: epidemiology, biostatistics, preventive medicine, nutrition, environmental and occupational health, and the organisation of health services in Nepal. Community Medicine runs through the MBBS programme — integrated with the basic sciences in the first two years and examined again in the clinical years — and takes students into the community through field visits and outreach programmes.
