Overview
The Department of General Surgery teaches the principles of surgery — surgical diagnosis, operative and peri-operative care, trauma and emergency surgery. Students learn on the surgical wards, in the outpatient clinics and in the operating theatres of the teaching hospital, and sit the final MBBS examination in Surgery and allied subjects.
